About Us

Charlotte Penney

Charlotte graduated with a Masters in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy (now University College of Osteopathy) in 2013. She founded Rockingham Forest Osteopaths in 2014 alongside working in many clinics across Northamptonshire and Stamford. As demand in Corby grew she gradually left her other positions to focus on creating her own clinic, eventually opening in Darley Dale Road at the beginning of 2020.

Charlotte incorporates osteopathy, cranial osteopathy and P-DTR into her treatments. She particularly enjoys helping people to recover from chronic pain using her manual skills as well as pain education. She is also keen to help her patients understand the impact of emotional stress on their physical symptoms and regularly prescribes mindfulness techniques to help improve wellbeing.

Outside of work Charlotte enjoys spending lots of time outside with her family, going for lots of walks in the woods and attempting to grow veg in the garden.

I have been taking my 5 month old little boy to see Charlotte for cranial osteopathy. My little boy was constantly sick with reflux (all day after every bottle) he also had a rash on his face which Charlotte believed was linked to the reflux/digestive issues my son was having. I have had 3 sessions and my son is no longer sick after any bottle, complete game changer! If anyone is having any feeding or sleeping issues with their baby I 100% recommend seeing Charlotte!

Clean, pleasant welcoming environment. Lee was very friendly and chatty, wasn't at all awkward, knew exactly what my issue was within minutes of examination and treated accordingly... and boy did he hit the spot! Advised exercises for self help and follow up treatment plan if needed. Already booked next appointment, would definitely recommend. Feeling slightly bruised but already moving slightly better this evening. Thanks so much.

When I was pregnant with my son I really struggled. Katie was really responsive and helped me with my back and hips. I also returned to Katie when I had a car accident to ease some pain in my upper shoulders. She is brilliant at what she does and I recommend her to everyone I can.

Katie Clarke

Katharine (Katie) Clarke graduated with an undergraduate Masters in Chiropractic from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2009. She worked in well established clinics in Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes before setting up her own business in Corby in 2014, becoming the town’s first and only chiropractor, initially based at Lakeside and Forest Gate surgeries. In 2020 she joined the team at Rockingham Forest Wellbeing.

Katie is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, British Chiropractic Association and is a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors. She uses a variety of techniques including spinal manipulative therapy, mobilisation and massage to treat problems with the bones, joints and muscles, as well as giving advice on exercises, stretches, posture and lifestyle.

As well as these more traditional techniques Katie has also undertaken post-graduate training in Dry Needling, which is also known as ‘Medical Acupuncture’. Although acupuncture needles are used, the technique is different to Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and is used to treat muscular problems.

Katie lives with her husband and young son, who was born a few weeks before the start of the pandemic. In her spare time she loves cooking, travel, and keeping fit by doing aerial acrobatics on the trapeze!

Stewart Docherty

Stewart is a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist. His therapist journey started at the beginning of 2020 and he has used the extra time during the pandemic to further his skills by studying reflexology, he will be taking additional massage training in 2021.

Stewart is a keen cyclist and has previously completed an Iron Man. He says about his massage journey:

“Having a love of exercise and the outdoors, but also spending all week behind an office desk, I found myself often having treatments with Charlotte and Katie. These kept me injury free, and moving to the best of my ability. Seeing how their knowledge helped me inspired me to follow a similar path and began my new career as a Massage therapist.”

My personal goal is to help people keep moving and recover from injury, aches and pains. Massage therapy can help relax and de-stress, giving increased joint mobility and flexibility, improved circulation, reduction in muscle tension.
All ages can benefit from massage therapy.

Shonagh Fullarton

Shonagh is our rehabilitation instructor. She is a Personal Trainer and class instructor at FullFit PT and FullFit Rehab.  Shonagh has an excellent reputation throughout the local gyms and is often seen at sporting events in Corby. She has a special interest in training people returning from injuries and this lead Charlotte to recruit her to become part of the team.

“My passion is to help and support my clients to achieve their health, well being and fitness goals.

As a physically active person myself, I know how frustrating injuries can be. Not only do they cause us pain and physical restriction but also a great deal of worry and anxiety. By working together the team I will be able to offer a fully comprehensive tailored programme matched to your specific needs.

I am delighted to be able to base the rehabilitation arm of my work at Rockingham Forest Wellbeing and offer my skills and knowledge to support you in a speedier and more effective recovery.”

Lisa Tye

Lisa completed Reiki Level 1 in 2014, then Levels 2 and 3 over the coming years, bringing inner peace and clarity from gnawing childhood anxiety. Level 5 Clinical Reflexology was achieved in 2018 with a love of this gained from teenage experiences – bringing relaxation, a clearer mind and a sense of calm. With the desire to work more deeply, Lisa is currently completing Shamanic healing case studies to clear blocks, patterns and stuck energy at root causes and bring back pieces of lost soul. This aligns with her Womb healing work, clearing fear and pain for past and future generations. All of which, Lisa loves and finds extremely fulfilling.

Having a passion for enabling change beyond sessions, Lisa has plenty of life experience (including 19 years in education, running businesses, being a single parent, divorced and re-married) and ideas for creating relief and healing ourselves. Lisa believes with a calm nervous system we can reconnect to our higher selves, heal through relaxation and achieve inner peace – bringing a love of life.

Lisa is always humbled by her spiritual practices and her inner changes. She adores spending time with her grandchildren, being in nature and attempting to play the piano (badly).
